And played Gazzarri's (on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood for those who do not know) one night with Van Halen (before they were signed)
Randy Rhoads and that band (?) that came out with "Doctor Docter Give Me the News". We were all playing at The Blue Lagoon Nightclub in Santa Monica, CA. Robert Palmer wrote the song but that other band (damnme if I can remember their name) used it to get on the charts. Rhoads was a guest player. That band was scheduled to go on tour with, I think, Cheap Trick, shortly after the Blue Lagoon gig. Or was it Poison------don't remember, but it was a fun night and everyone was nice as heck.

We did a tour opening for Bad Religion. We played festivals with Rancid. We opened for No Doubt just before they got huge. We played the first and second Warped tours, so played with whatever bands were on those. Actually, if you name any popular punk rock type band from the early-mid 90s, we probably played with them.

The bands I was in back then were called The Mr. T Experience and Samiam, if you're curious.
I listened to the Samiam record "Trips," several times. Good pop punky type stuff. Good going.

We recently opened for Kix Brooks. Soon we'll be opening for Gretchen Wilson at a big country festival in which we'll also be the house band for the singer/songwriter types that need a band.

Icon & Anchor (they actually opened for us, because we were so generous, we let them have the 2nd to last, and also best, spot. and they even came up front for us after their set!
King Conquer
Bermuda
The Last Ten Seconds of Life
Hundredth
In the Midst of Lions

None of these guys are *super* famous (except in the midst of lions) compared to rock country and indie, but for metal they're up there!

We've opened for a few classic rock acts that are still touring.
Next month we're playing a show and a band called Trout Fishing in America is opening for us. I've never heard of them but people I've mentioned it to seem to know who they are.

To add to my last post, my band is opening up for Dustin Lynch at the South Florida Fair in two weeks. I'm pretty excited about that!

Many years ago the band I was in at the time (Damn Near) opened for the U.K. Subs on two occasions and once had the pleasure to open for Motorhead.

Edwin McCain. Very cool guy, and his bassist told me to go ahead and use his rig instead of hauling mine in and then. Tearing it back down after a 45 minute opening set.

This made be lol. I have since moved away from playing metal but my last band played with the Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Upon a Burning Body, and Born of Osiris.

The not *super* famous people are pretty huge in the metal scene around here, especially Hundredth, I hear people talk about them all the time.
