Those are all metal bands that, unless you're into modern metal, you most likely won't have heard of them, but they're all big news, except for Stephen Pearcy, he's a hack.

Nice list! BTBAM is one of my favorites...Dan Briggs is AMAZING.

The only real band of merit that I can really think of that I've played with is Freya, and if you're not big into hardcore, you've probably never heard of them. And if you have heard of them, then you probably understand why it was a big deal to me!

I have indeed heard of Freya, never listened to them though. We all got to meet BTBAM and they were super nice dudes. Dan was awesome, talking about gear and the tour and stuff, he even played my Ric! Unfortunately I never got a photo of that though

Warrant
The four tops
Naughty by Nature
The temptations
Funny thing about the temps,,, we were suppose to play for one hour and 15 mins. But when they saw that the crowd was digging us heavy they shut us down after 45 mins. Nobody likes to be upstaged I guess.. Lol

Oh I forgot.. We opened for Egyptian Lover and we got word that E.Lover's band got a flat tire so they weren't gonna be able to do the show. So our manager said we had to do the show. None of us knew lover's song list but that was no problem since the entire show was on DAT tape. So we just faked it as best we could. I got paid to fake keyboards all night! It was a blast.

This club wanted us to open for DFA 1979 so eagerly that they had us listed on the matinee the night before.

I had a chance to talk with his Bassist before the show and I was asking him what material they might be doing, and if they were going to do anything from the Rebel Meets Rebel collaboration with Dimebag Derrell. He told me "I know the first song were going to play after that it's chase the rabbit, Mr. Coe will play what he wants and you better keep up!"

Coe has one of Derrell's guitars, it was a Dean that had a rebel flag finish that he would use for some songs. It was set up on the side of the stage in a stand while we were playing. I thought it was pretty cool to share the stage with Derrell's guitar.

Good times
I saw him play a show this summer. He didn't even have a bassist with him then; just another guitarist besides himself and a drummer. That was an intense show.

David Allan Coe has got to be one of my favorite musicians of all time, but imagine how shocked someone who just heard The Ride or You Never Even Called Me By My Name on the radio and thought they might check out one of his concerts might be.

We opened for Chicago a couple of years back. Of course all of their stuff was already set up when we took the stage, but the coolest part was seeing their set lists taped around the stage.

We've played with The Marshall Tucker Band, the New Riders of the Purple Sage, a the Radiators, Janes Addiction, Joe Cocker, The Dark Star Orchestra, Seven Walkers with George Porter Jr. and Bill Kruetzman, Keller Williams, and a few others.

Here is a link to hear us play http://quimbymountainband.net/videos

We're called the Quimby Mountain Band. The bass is pretty clear on the first video;.

Robin Trower (post-Dewar, RIP)
Wishbone Ash
Cheap Trick
Lita Ford
Testament

...Some of these folks were not very nice people, some were salt of the earth. Trower made me wish I was related to him...

We didn't open for, but played for Queensryche at the Prime Rib Palace in Belview (sp?) WA on Halloween of 1988...And Roger Fisher walked in for a set...That was a wild gig; I dressed as Ed Grimly...

Boy was I self conscious...

Dickie Betts
The Subdudes
Little Feat
Southern Culture on the Skids

There are a few more, but that all I can think of. For almost all we were the only opener. Most exciting for me was Cheap Trick.

some very impressive lists here...

Only band worth listing for me would be Kill Devil Hill. It may not have been Pantera, but it was still Rex Brown, and that's good enough for me.
