HI, my girlfriend always had problems hearing the bass in a song and today we were eating in a restaurant and while we were talking all of a sudden she stops me and tells me: "I hear the bass and it´s beautyfull" that would be in spanish wich goes something like this: "escucho el bajo, es bonito".

I'm intrigued by the title. It's either 'My girlfriend hears' or 'My girlfriends hear'. Which is it?

¡Muy bueno!

My girlfriend is always calling me telling me to listen to this and that for the bass.. She never paid attention before I came along. She messaged me the other day and said, "Have you ever heard of the Meters?!"

Im happy.

That's when you're supposed to say "El bajo no es algo que escuchar. Es algo que se siente."

I hope Google translated that correctly.

heh i remember when i had just started playing bass for the school band my girl friend mentioned to me once that she mostly couldn't hear any bass, maybe she didnt really know what to really listen out for, with the whole band and all but one time the dufus on the mixer kicked up my bass real loud instead of the teacher's keyboard! haha i remember how the whole school was vibrating with that bass blasting from the PA
anyway i told her you gotta feel it if you think you cant hear it baby! its all there.

that is correct.

the problem is that from a little 5" speaker you can´t really tell to feel it because the speaker doesn´t have the power enough and low extension freqs to make the floor shake.
She couldn´t hear it in a song when reproduced on the radio to give an example. I belive she didn´t know what to hear and I was teaching her how to listen and what to listen and now finally came the surprize. I´m happy!

Your English is fine. Everyone knew what you meant. I appreciate your effort; as your English is better than my Spanish.

You got to love TB, bringing together knuckle-heads from around the globe. El TalkBass es lo maximo por los bajeros del mundo, que son estupidos.

My wife doesn't hear the bass either but she enjoys the bands and the venues.
Mi esposa no pueden escuhar el bajo, pero se callo las bandas y los clubs.

Whew- that was hard.
