ok pretty cool story.

id been in this band for a few months now, and after endless hours spent trying to record the few songs wed made, we decided to book a gig at the only under 18 club in town haha and it was pretty cool, i mean everything was going well and we were meeting with the other bands a little, and just generally relaxing before we played. i wasnt nervous at all throughout the whole gig, and then something crazy happened. our pianist and singer both forgot where they were going, so he banged the key board and stopped playing, and so i stopped, but the drummer kept going.

so me and the drummer launch into this gminor jam and it was awesome. im not saying im super talented, but it worked out seamlessly. our pianist counted back in and we finished the song. (AND i nailed the key change near the end of the song)

it was just awesome, almost every band we talked to said they thought it was great, people said they wouldnt have even noticed something was amiss unless our pianist got mad haha.

so all in all, pretty great gig

Congratulations! It might the the first trainwreck, but it wont be the last. To be able to take control of the situation and turn it to your advantage is the mark of a good musician.
