Haha. That was me. The gig went smooth on my part, with that hiccup for the overall. Two different ideas.

Thumbs up Over the Hill Club...Not!

Outstanding...CONGRATS!

I'm about to lose my "Cherry" on the 23rd at the grand age of 48! To be honest, I'm a little nervous, but much more excited! We're down at the local pub - it's the bands first gig and was originally intended for some family and friends. Instead it's morphed and the whole village is talking about it!

We play First Wave Surf and Instrumental Rock 'n' Roll, so I'm more apprehensive on how it'll be received, then in my playing.

We'll see! Again, glad to see another..."40 sumthing" livin the dream!

Y'know it's funny that this is happening now, and all over the place. I guess that a lot of folks are finding the time later in life to bring it.

Love for playing never gets old.

Congrats! I'm "only" 44 and, other than a few songs when I played in college (guitars and vocals then), I've still only played bass at home while recording and jamming. I finally started lessons about 6 months ago hoping to get myself to the point you finally reached.

49 is the new 16.

Get the cardio workout going so you can pogo on stage and show those young whippersnappers. It aint how old you are, it aint how you dress, it aint how expensive your bass is, its how you MOVE on stage that counts. And sometimes, the notes you play count as well.
