FIRST SHOW!!!!!!!!!

My first show with my second band is coming up quick and I can't wait. We are doing a alternative/screamo song in the talentshow (),but hey it's a start. Auditions are Wensday, Feburary 4th. If we make it past that we have another 2 weeks to work out all the kinks. We sound pretty good together in my opinion. We dont have a qualified drummer yet so we are going without one because the song isn't that hard on drums. Nobody would notice the lack of drums. All tips and advice are appreciated. . Just incase you wanted to hear the song we are doing it's This Conversation is Over by Alesana.

Good luck my friend. I couldn't imagine playing out without a drummer.

This song is simple so I really dont think the drums will matter.

even though the song is simple, without drums it will sound different, like the christmas show at college, there were several drummers, guitarists and bassists missing from bands for the initial rehersals and the songs didn't sound the same, but low and behold the drummers, bassists nd guitarists finally got their heads outta their asses and came in, the only way the drums won't matter is if it is an acoustic song, even then, it sounds better with bongo's, get a midi track of drums from the song downloaded on to a MP3 player or something or laptop or w/e nd run it through the PA, and practice with that so u can keep in time, and screamo does not sound right without drums, a band of myn tried when the drummer didn't show up for rehersal, it sounded...peculiar though cudda just been the singer, and that song, the drums are noticable, and therefore there will be a noticable lack of them to ppl who know the song

Believe me I'd rather have drums. It's not a choice I have. We make do with what we have.
