First Show in half a decade, Tonight

Sign in to disble this ad
We're hosting a "jam" at a local Pub, along with a few other bands. We've been practicing feverishly for a few weeks, but I'm nervous as hell.

We are, however, playing some cool covers since it's jam night

Judas Priest-Breaking the Law (as a swing song)
The Ramones- I just wanna have something to do
The Cramps- Naked Girl falling down the stairs
Cock Sparrer- Riot Squad

All these on top of our originals.

Years ago I was a singer for a Grindcore band, but that was long long ago, and we plaid for friends in basements. This, obviously, is a real, paying gig.

Hope all goes well. I've got the "I'm going to spew" feeling in my stomach, but I'm sure it will pass.

enjoy it! Those butterflies are awesome.
I took a few years off and once we started playing, it was like I never stopped.

Depends how the gig is going. Who knows, direct it nicely and you get a cool stage effect.

Make it like those Disney water shows, just have a projector ready to put up some images as you spew.

This crowd is pretty un amused by our music. We're hosting a "jam" for local singer songwriters, with real bands in between. We get some decent money, but they love hearing john mayer covers instead of originals. We're playing with another local band that is pretty great, too.

Hey man best of luck! I too get the nervous tummy action pretty bad. I was last in a band(hardcore/screamoish) back in 2003 and we played a bunch of DIY shows and some bar gigs. I was a wreck every time until I started to rock out. Now I`m starting to write again with my 2 friends with the intent to play out and I`ve got to say, while I`m excited at the idea of playing out and having my girlfriend see me play(she came along after the 1st band) I`m not looking forward to developing a massive ulcer again. I`m getting all worked up just thinking about it! Good luck though man!! And if possible, try spraying it in an arc for maximum coverage.
