I have no idea, and nor do I want to, about what goes on in this clip. All I know is that an assault from a vespa with a left handed '86 Ric, in the rare midnight blue cracks me up
Might be because I have the exact one in an R/H model..........

so glorious it's BIZARRE.

naw. the show makes perfect sense if you're an anime nerd. if you're not, it's odd whiplash humor with some cool Japanese rock songs.

I have to admit, a few weeks after watching this in its entirety, I saw a Ric in Midnight Blue in a shop, I was sorely tempted to just go "screw eating for a year, I want that bass". I still want that bass. I still want it in that colour, but I doubt I'll put a pull-start engine in it.

FLCL - Typical Gainax silliness when they're not trying to destroy the world, cause you to have seizures, or flash panty shots at you in an unending barrage.

Also that anime made me really interested in Rics... up until I found out how much they cost...

I've been interested in Rics for ages (as it was a ric sound that made me take up bass) but this anime has just made it worse >_>. FLCL is brilliant though. SUDDENLY: EVERYTHING TURNS MANGA (but then they run out of budget).

Man, that was a good anime... How much does one of those rics go for anyway?

I love FlCl, it's the anime that made me want to play bass. All I can say is it's awesome!

Pillows are damn good.

i was at a friend's house in Japan who makes Comic Guy from the Simpsons look like a casual fan. my Japanese is pretty horrible so i ignore most of what he watches 'cause i don't wanna get interested in something i can't watch unless somebody fansub's it.

but i heard one of the Pillow's songs and was just got sprung. kept checking till they brought it out here. super glad it got as popular as it did.

After watching FLCL several times I ended up downloading the entire Pillows library, and update it whenever they cut a new album. Definitely one of my favorite bands and they have so much energy its hard not to like them, not that anyone would.

FCLC is one of the best out there. It's on Hulu, go check it ALL out.

What happened to his eyebrows?

Too over the top for me. That's why I could never dig most anime.

And to be fair, I think something along the lines of a T-40 would do more damage. Or something like my BTB. Certainly less expensive, anyways.

Cool song though.
