I don't know if this has been posted here, I'm sure it has, but it deserves to be posted again. One of the funniest parodies I've ever seen. Michael Manring's Teen Town.....on crack!

I just watched it again and laughed until I cried. It's still funny a day later.

Must be an age thing; I missed the joke on both of those vids. Clue me in, please. Don't flame me, just clue me in.

The joke is that someone took the original video and overdubbed it with crappy playing. Here's the original.

Here's the crappy one.

Don't feel bad about missing the point. My wife missed it too when she first saw it. I had to explain it to her too.

The funniest part is that the overdubber's tone is better than Manring's IMO.

Now that you mention it, it is a nice fat tone. That's the difference in live vs. studio tone IMO. It wouldn't be so bad if his intonation wasn't so freaking far off.

You know what's awesome is this vid came up in Manring's own forum and he said he thought it was hilarious. Guy's got a sense of humor about himself.

The is just one of those things where you have to be a musician to get it, and even then some don't get it. It's that a killer play appears to be playing completely whack and un musical stuff while they look like they are pouring their soul into it. I'd love to get to the point to where someone would make a "Torrey Shreds" vid.

None the less i find these extremely funny, the Jaco Shreds are some of my favorites.
