the only thing funnier would be if the camera scrolled and up and revealed that it was actually a dude holding the bass

Who cares whether it's a Squire or a real Fender, it has a fine paint job!

Yeah, I thought the paint was too candy apple red and laquer-looking to be vintage anything.

Oh, and what girl?!

The first thing I looked at was the grain(or lack of) on the fretboard.

See, now my question to TalkBass is a simple one, and it is this.

Which one would you choose, Bass or Girl?

The bass of course. Who knows what kind of face is looming above that waistline?

I'd be careful if you choose the girl. I was there when the photo was taken and trust me you don't want to upset her boyfriend who took the picture.

SO many things wrong with this pic...

Definitely a Squier, not a Fender. Notice the single ply pickguard. And the white felt under the strap button.
And a TREBLE clef tattoo??

We don't need no stinking treble!!

EDIT - - for extra points for the matching belly jewelry.

You guys are too uptight about the bass.

Concentrate on the girl, who cares if thats a treble clef, the fact that she's half nude makes it forgivable

My first reaction was "Of course that's not a '70s P-bass. Why are they making such a big deal about it?"

My second reaction was "Oh, a generic 'hot' girl with a poorly done, cliche tattoo is holding the bass. Why are they making a big deal about it?"
