My family and I spent a weekend in Montreal last August and it rained the whole time. I blame John Harvey.

Oh my God, this has actually made it to TB! Too much!

Well, well, it is a small world indeed. Stuart let me know this was going on, I don't normally do into the humour section.

How in the world did you guys hear about this?

Just to let you guys know what is going on, I post an ad on Craigslist advertising my services. You can see it here: http://montreal.en.craigslist.ca/muc/2213904278.html

I post it about twice a week, the allowed amount by Craigslist. It seems this has gotten the panties of a small group of people in a bunch. A few people want to ban me from there, another few put up ridiculous ads about me...I don't really care, people still call me when they have paying gigs up for grabs.

But the whole thing, as someone here on TB said, has certainly taking on epic proportions. It amazes me that people invest this thing to this extent. Simply amazing. I have often thought that if people invest their instruments half as much as they do this debate, they would become excellent musicians!

Dude, I did not sense any offense. Really. I can see the humour in this thing. It sort of like recess time in elementary school.

To be honest with you, sometimes I laugh myself when I read this stuff. They can get pretty creative. How can you not laugh about pregnant waitresses and the Pope muttering to himself?

I guess this made it here because someone else on Craigslist Montreal is also a member of TB.

OK, cool.

(What I wrote about the rain and the strike last August was true, though.)

Yeah, we never met but I actually played with those guys. I think they saw my ad on Craigslist (!) and called me up. They were really nice guys, very talented too, I thought.

I got some video of that somewhere.

Take care, say hi for me!

Thanks, that is really appreciated!

I had a good time with it. It really reminded me of listening to that program when I was a young boy.

I don't know if I can trust the words of a man who would do those things to those poor waitresses

I heard that John Harvey allows the most interesting man in the world and Chuck Norris to exist as long as they don't take his bass gigs!!!!!! Hahahahahaha

Just kiddin John, I have nothing against you, I just couldn't resist. I've been following the drama for some time now, MTL craigslist has become a form of entertainment for me. Like you say, if these people actualy put this much effort into their own music, they might have accomplished something!!!
