| | | the moment I see " ALL GIRL BAND " is when I run. If you are willing to take a possibly horrible musician over a possibly decent one because of their race/sex/religion/etc. then screw you. Sadly I never see any other kinds of exclusive bands, either " Looking for Member " or " Must be a Girl! " |

This guy had ridiculous demnds, sounded a little too "gay" for the members of Oasis, and changed what he could play or do in almost every ad. Finally people got tired of it and started making up their own tribute band ads to piss him off. He still posts the ads every few days even though craigslist saves the ads for over a month. There is very little traffic on the local craigslist, so you'll see 4 or 5 ads from him on the 1st page alone. |

I run as well whenever I hear someone start talking like that. Sexism runs on both sides of the fence. I've seen guys scoff at female players only to get demolished by their chops. But I have also seen the totalitarian women who won't even consider letting a man do anything related to the band other than pay for a ticket.
Scary women man.... |

aswell isn't a word, neither is 4 | I would revise your grammar before playing the intelligence card. As far as I'm aware, his point was correct as well!

Scary women man.... | That exclusionary attitude kept my old band from getting anywhere. They wanted a female drummer, since we were all women. But we couldn't find a good one. They had rather do without a drummer than have a male! Well, I brought in my husband, and the drummer from another really good band, so we would have *someone*. They took turns playing for us.
My husband will not even jam casually with the woman who led that band, she was so awful to him. Everyone else loved his playing, but she wanted an all-girl band, so she picked him apart so he'd leave.
We finally found a female drummer, and it was the beginning of the end. So much drama it could not even be presented in novella format, because it was too intense.
Never again. Never, ever again. People ask me all the time if we will get back together. "Only for a casual jam," I say. "Not for real?" "No way. No way in he11."
A few of the others want to, but they're the ones who quit playing when that band broke up. The rest of us have moved on to bands with both male and female members, and are doing well.

I don't think I could last more than 7 seconds on that bus.
Whats up people? I am a 27 yr old guiutar player with 16 yrs exp. I just recently recorded up in NY and Nashville. Looking for pros. I get paid to play my guitar. No Military or ex Military need to apply, myst be willing to go on the road most the yr. I have sponcers and so should you if you reply to this. Need just a drummer and a bassist. Drummers must have atleast 5 cymblys and 3 toms and be able to keep 16th notes. Bassiest, Well they are a dime a dozen. But I am looking for someone who I can be stuck on a bus or a van with for 7 months out of the yr. |

Greg | Look at your phrasing. You just called guitarists more valuable and rare than bassists. I don't think that's what you were trying to say, judging by your charming use of the word "guitards"
Perhaps you meant a nickel a dozen when referring to our skinny stringed friends?
