Oh I have G.A.S. too but now I've discovered I have G.R.S. as well! Gear Relinquishment Syndrome that is...

I spent a few minutes cleaning up my Trace Elliot Boxer 30 to sell or trade because I have way more practice amps than any one person needs. Of course I have to TRY it right? Well in trying it, G.R.S. reared its ugly head. That cute little green amp sounds so d*mned nice, how could I possibly part with it. /heavy sigh

Shouldn't that be Gear Retaining Syndrome?

This is actually known as ICFOWIRWSIKOBASS syndrome.

It stands for "I can't figure out what I really want so I keep on buying and selling stuff".

It is more commonly known simply as BASS (buy and sell stuff).

I have suffered from this debilitating disease for decades.

And to be honest, this is one disease I love having!

Too many practice amps?

What you need is a fresh way of thinking about your plethora of amps. I recommend that you buy an AMP switch, something that will allow you plug your one guitar into multiple amps at once. Then, practice with ALL of them on at once.

This is known as the Quantity vs. Quality method of playing. If you use enough of them, you can blow windows out with 5w and 10w amps. The deLisle ABC Amp Switch allows you to connect 3 amps at once. Daisy-chain a few of those and one guitar could power through to 9, 12, 15 practice amps! Mwuhahahahahahahaha!

^^

Reminds me of a story I read online. Seems a guy was in a music store where he spied 2 young ne'er-do-wells in the Marshall amp room. One comes out and asks for a couple of cords and the salesperson was kind enough to give him said pedals. (I'm sure you see where this is going.) After a couple of minutes, he sees the 2 laughing it up in the amp room (sliding glass door) and BOOM!! The E chord they hity with all those stacks daisy chained almost took the door off.

Don't know if it's made up or not, but the visual is priceless.
