GAS to quit smoking

The first step is to choose a peace of gear you'd like to buy. This must be a wise decision, it's gonna be a huge investment and you're not supposed to change your mind.

Then, just stop smoking. Yes, the best way to stop is just to stop.

Each time you think of a cigarette - just remember what a wonderful piece of gear you're going to buy. And, of courxse each time you're supposed to buy a pack of cigs just put $1 (2, 5.. don't know how much does it usually cost for you) in a piggy bank with "G.A.S." written on it.

You know if I actually did that I'd have a very decent rig lined up... I'll remember that idea when I actually want to quit smoking

That's a great idea! I really want to quit smoking, and I really want a nice new P bass. I just might do this. I 'll start tomorrow... maybe...

Oddly enough, that's exactly what I did. I quit smoking, and put the five dollars a day that a pack of smokes would have cost into an account to be used for the purchase of something nice at the end of the year... if, and only if, I'm still smoke-free! $1,825 is a nice bit of change to play with.

Wow, that is a nice idea. You can really save a nice sum of money by quitting smoking. Maybe I should start smoking, than quit it. That would get me a dingwall... right?

I just got hypnotized. Should've gone with this idea. BUT, if anyone's curious, yeah hypnotism worked for me. Been almost 2 years now!

This makes me want to start smoking so I can quit and have a lot of money to spend on stuff.

I just quit 18 days ago (often counting the seconds...) But, I only waited 4 days before I bought a Mike Lull 5'er.
Did I do that right?

but it looks so cool having a burning cig being held down between the e string and the fretboard when playing!

fwiw -- if you want to quit smoking, the best time to do it is when some big change is happening in your life, like moving or changing jobs. let the shift in your life help shift your lifestyle,

i've told this to at least three or four smokers, and they all were able to quit!

it's all in the head, yo.

(i smoked for 7 years, and have now been smoke-free for 4)

Otherwise, you could just get a part-time job and put stuff on lay-by.

I'm having my cake and smoking it too

HI

My 40 year old buddy with a 13 year old daughter just died of cancer a couple weeks ago. Whatever it takes for you to stop, stop
