The first step is to choose a peace of gear you'd like to buy. This must be a wise decision, it's gonna be a huge investment and you're not supposed to change your mind.
Then, just stop smoking. Yes, the best way to stop is just to stop.
Each time you think of a cigarette - just remember what a wonderful piece of gear you're going to buy. And, of courxse each time you're supposed to buy a pack of cigs just put $1 (2, 5.. don't know how much does it usually cost for you) in a piggy bank with "G.A.S." written on it.

I quit smoking, and put the five dollars a day that a pack of smokes would have cost into an account to be used for the purchase of something nice at the end of the year... if, and only if, I'm still smoke-free! $1,825 is a nice bit of change to play with.

| | | | fwiw -- if you want to quit smoking, the best time to do it is when some big change is happening in your life, like moving or changing jobs. let the shift in your life help shift your lifestyle,
i've told this to at least three or four smokers, and they all were able to quit!
it's all in the head, yo.
(i smoked for 7 years, and have now been smoke-free for 4)

I'm having my cake and smoking it too

My 40 year old buddy with a 13 year old daughter just died of cancer a couple weeks ago. Whatever it takes for you to stop, stop
