That would be a sweet bass to relic and make it look like a Jaco Pastorius tribute bass.

Perfectly reasonable and not odd at all. In fact a VERY smart guy! The US dollar is going to reach its true value in the next few years - ZERO! Not sure I'd sell that bass though....
But, most gold is either .900 or .999 and not .995.... Must be a gold newbie but he's got the right idea.....

I tell people all the time, if everything goes into the toilet, the only currency that will have any value is guns and ammo.

Don't forget food and water. Ammo and guns is a good one, too. Lord knows I've played my share of post-apocalyptic video games to know that. Oh, and don't forget bottle caps, you can trade about 200 of those to get your bass repaired.
