Our mandolin player had been putting off getting his heart checked for two weeks before our last show because he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to play the show. Only one band member knew this and didn't tell the rest of us. That part is a whole other story and rant in its own.

Now he is in the hospital and is having triple by-pass surgery tomorrow. I was at the hospital with him yesterday and one of the nurses asked if I was his son. He told the nurse " No, He's my bass player. He's the one who has been keeping me in rhythm until I could get to the Dr to get my heart checked. Made me feel on top of the world.
