I think itīs the freudian thing: bigger is better. A Precision is more suitable in this matter than, say, a Steinberger stick bass.
Can someone ask that 7 string guy about his wiew on this subject?

In my experience I have found that girls do like to touch the Bass and sit on the cabs ( for comfort ) but they don't want to touch the Bass player... or perhaps it's me they don't want to touch !!!

that is in fact true, i think the reason for it is not only do we hold everything together, and we know how to move around the whole body of our instrument quickly and with a very comforting agressiveness.. but we most also factor in that guitarists are to self centered and egotistical, singers never know when to come in, and drummers.... well i won't even go there. The best option would be us.
