well my guitarist calls me up. Hey we got a gig on the 21st. The guy wanted us to do it this week but i got it postponed till next week. So im like ok, you remember you fired the singer right? He tells me he asked loni and rich to each sing half the gig. LOL now loni and rich are 2 old singers that this guy fired. the guy because he isnt the best singer and the girl because she was young, 19-20ish and her mom was like yoko ono. Am i the only one that sees alot of bad coming out of this?

Have you seen the movie The Fugitive? Your gig could be just like the train wreck scene...

haven't seen it but that's what im predicting a train wreck. The chick is a bad ass singer but I have a feeling she will come and then no show on the day of the show.

Why would your guitarist do that? Is he intentionally trying to sabotage what's left of the band?

Having one singer do half the gig and the other singer do the other half... not to mention with neither of them being officially "in" the band... well, that's just bush league. I hope you guys can pull it off but it has the potential to be only one notch better than an open mic and that's if both your ad hoc singers show.

IME good singers are easy to find. It's good singers who aren't mental patients which seem to the real rare thing.

I've been in more than one situation where we were just glad the singer could cut it and had their own legal transportation.

Another fave is the good drummer being run off and replaced with a non hacker because the band leader had a head bumping contest going and would rather the music suffer than get over themselves for a few hours a few nights a week.

yeah, the areas we play are all people my age so that's the music we grew up listening too. get pretty good gigs because alot of bands our age play the pop side of stuff, so there was a decent opening for this genre. just need to find a singer who can sing it and dont live with yoko

OK... it is now officially an open mic.

I hope they're not charging people to come out and see this.
