What a lot of people don't undertand about this thread is that, just as he said, if you look at the issue objectively, playing an intrument may be a waste of time through the eyes of someone who isn't into playing music. It would be hilarious if there were some thread just like this somewhere on some video game forum. Maybe through a gamers eye's, playing an instument is more of a waste of time. Contrary to the beliefs of many of you who have responded in this thread, I can see merit in both. Playing an RPG or strategy game can be just as stimulating to the mind as anything else. I am of the mind that playing sports games is a waste when anyone anytime anywhere can go out and toss a football/basketball/baseball, or anything else with the word ball in it around, but there are so many different kinds of games out there that can introduce you into new worlds and different experiances. Take dynasty warriors for instance, where else can you fight battles in fudal japan, its a fun game, plus you get a history lesson at the same time.

My Squier P-bass beauty

I personally find the game to be okay, it's not bad but it's massively over-hyped. A pet peeve of mine is hearing: "I love this song! I play it on guitar hero!!"
