Guitar player finally reappears

Sign in to disble this ad
Well our mysteriously vanishing guitar player reappeared! I just got an e-mail from him explaining the situation. It seems he had to deal with a personal problem.

I don't fault him for getting himself into a "situation", but I do blame him for not letting us know. The mature thing to do is to tell us (or at least the leader) that he has something to deal with and won't be able to practice / play for a while.

Heck how would your work feel if you just did not show up for 3-1/2 weeks? On the other hand if you explained that you needed time off for personal matters you would probably get it and keep your job when you came back.

I am beginning to get the sense that this guy has more than his share of drama in his life. I just hope that we all don't get caught up in it.

I don't know at this point whether our leader will keep him or not.

Stay tuned!

Aren`t you the poster that had a fight with your GF over this band, and the singer (who you had met only once), wanted to move in with you last week ? Unsolicited advice: get as far away from these losers as possible before they drag you down with them.

Nope I'm the guy where our guitar player disappeared for 3-1/2 weeks. No returned calls, e-mail, text, etc. We even called his work.

lol I doubt this will get worse then my own stupidity but it will be interesting to see how the guitarist will act when he finds out his stuff is gone.

lol you might not have caught the end of that. The singer canceled on the move in and me and my Fiance' talked it out. Things are good now.

Also just for fun info the singer called last night to ask if he could still move in and offered a bill more then the original price. The rooms being turned into my practice space (yay no more corner) and he's SOL.... he's also being kicked out of the band but the other member's are waiting for him to show up to next practice so they can tell him in person.

alls well that ends well

I guess I'll have to retract my bid on his gear. Oh, well, maybe next time.

"Oh, hai, good to see you aren't dead! Well, thought that maybe the Mexican drug runner that came looking for you finally got you, so we sold off your gear and had a huge party. You should have seen it, there was a stripper pole and....uh, nevermind. Well, talk to ya later."

So we gave him the money from his gear that we sold......all $20 of it.

Actually it was neither jail nor rehab nor coma nor abducted by aliens. I was a personal crisis that I would rather not get into. It is still no excuse for not letting us know that he would be on a hiatus. The leader is looking for another guitar player.

Boy if you can't share your problems with your bandmates then who can you share them with?

If he's checked in Schick Shadel or something why should he have to share his problems with you? Who the hell do you think you are? Your profile claims you're 48 but you seem to have the mind of a 15 year old. Good game buddy.
