Guitard pride...

Sign in to disble this ad
has anyone heard of this add?

I was reading a magazine on rock and roll (or something of that sort) and i saw this add on a tuner for guitars...
There is a band practicing and the motto is "finally there is a tuner that is as sensitive as your bass player"

kinda ticks me off...

I don't mind being described as sensitive, but I usually draw the line at moody.

I'm thinking they knew ONE bass player who was sensitive so they made the ad. Oh well, chicks dig sensitive guys.

It's true, my senses of perception are unrivaled. Eyes like a hawk, ears like a bat, and a sense of touch like some animal with really neat fingers that lives in the rain forest and hasn't been discovered yet.

It is a funny line.. there is truth in stereotypes.. we're known as being the most thinking and on the quieter side... not as far over as key players..

Still chuklin

I saw the same ad in BassPlayer magazine. I figured the ad was meant to be ironic. Now I see that maybe BP was using it that way, but that wasn't necessarily the ad's original intention...sigh

It doesn't offend me at all since I am always the one that notices when my guitarist is out of tune. He appreciates it.

haha i actually think it's kind of funny. I also think that by getting upset about it, you're falling right into the stereotype.

The person who designed the ad is probably a bass player.
