As I look at my amp in pieces, I'm reminiscing about where we've been.
Our band was doing a Fri/Sat night double bill with this really great Hendrix, SRV type guitar player and his band. We were an all around cover band. Pat, ( great gutarist, and I mean he is GOOD), would play the third set, then we would play the rest of the night with some of Pat's band, and Pat,sitting in on some songs. First night, Pat plays his set, and no one on the dance floor. Saturday, his bass player's van breaks down, and can't be there. And this bass player has some really expensive equipment. So, anyway, can't remember the first two songs, third song was Red House. Wow, ten couples on the dance floor! Next song was Crossfire. (Same set list).
Dance floor was filled. Pat's bass player showed up, and everyone sat down.

Dude, seriously? I couldn't even imagine that a band would start playing their bassplayer, or any other guy from the band.

Sounds like a pretty s***ty player to me when nobody misses hem when he's not there and keeps everybody from the dance floor when he arrives...
