Happy New Year's gigs to all...

Here's wishing good gigs to those who are playing tonight. Please be careful on the road. I see there's some icy/snowy conditions through the midwest and northeast US.

I'm in Walterboro, SC tonight at the Elks Lodge (in tux, yuck). Gonna be fun, though. It's about an hour-and-a-half drive one way from the Columbia area where I am, down toward the coast, and I'll be driving myself down. I don't mind going alone since it gives me time to listen to some CDs. No bad weather in store, temps in the 40s coming home, so I'll be ok on the road. Just have to watch for drunks and such (I won't be one of them, no drinking or smoking tonight, nope). Maybe I'll have some fun stories about it tomorrow. I'll post them if I do. Ya'll do the same.

Enjoy and be safe. Cheers to all. And Happy New Year!

Thanks Russell. Playing at our favorite venue tonight, where we've done NYE the last two years before. It's outside, and the forecast looks real good so far. I love doing NYE here too because it is a three minute drive home!

I'm flying solo tonight since my wife could not convince any of her friends to come. She hates sitting there waiting for me to finish a set. Oh well. It should be a good gig. Of course any interesting stories will be provided tomorrow if there are any.

Have a Safe New Year all!

Looks like temps in the 70s F down there, Bob. Sounds great! And yeah, my wife isn't going either. We'll make up for it tomorrow at home together.

Played an afternoon gig, 1-5, in Effingham, IL. Got free dinner (fresh fish fry), decent $$, and back home on my couch before most of y'all even started
