Heh heh, I've probably seen this vid about 10 times, the bass refuses to play with the guy anymore ; )

I have seen a lead guitarist smack the head off a Kramer pulling this stunt years back, he'd only had it 2 weeks.

I tried that once and the strap peg screw came out - same result. Fortunately, I was just standing around after practice.

I think the only thing worse than the bassist's throw in this video is the singer's haircut.
