Heart attack !

I was doing a gig one night here in belfast about 15 years ago, when a guy collapsed in the toilets, out cold and nobody moved him so everyone who came in was hitting his head with the door!
Finally one of his mates came looking for him and called an ambulance,,heart attack,, took him to hospital right away!!

About two hours later at the end of the night i heard a cheer go up and looking down from the stage i saw the guy at the bar ,,,he'd signed himself out from hospital to make last orders !!!!

I was proud to be Irish that night !!!!

I think that was also the night our drummer had had a vasectomy that day and had come straight from the hospital to the gig...... i asked him " is it not sore Jamesy"?

"put it like this , there'll be no bass drum tonight son "!!!!!

I have heard that story but i thought he was welsh, if not we'll certainly claim him LOL!

Amazing story indeed! Here in the U.S. I've seen my share
of drunks pass out on the floor in some of the finer working
class establishments I've gigged in but never have I witnessed
anything like you did.

None of the legendary party boys such as Keith Richards can
claim to have done that!
