HELP lol!

Hiya,

Got a small problem - was having a jam with some friends earlier, and thought I could smell the distinctive smell of turd. I assumed that I had stood in something. However I was going to put my bass in its case and I realised that there was a small piece of what looks like bird turd on the side of the case, and also a little bit on the handle Hopefully none has gone on the bass itself, but I'm thinking of cleaning it with an antiseptic wipe or two just to make sure (as well as doing that to the case).

Do you think this is a good idea? Would it harm the bass at all? I like to keep my basses looking (and smelling!) new .

TIA.

Definitely. Clean the bag, the bass, and anything that touched either. Aside from the smell, those germs are potent and long-lasting.

Be careful, of course - don't use something with a heavy pH bias, but use a good soap and follow up with your usual mild spray cleaner to make the bass look nice again.

You know what they say fight fire with fire so logically the best solution would be taking a crap on it to clean it off.

Either that or hunt down the bird and use it to clean the poop off.

Hey guys!

Just to let you know the bass has been cleaned meticulously with antiseptic wipes, and microfibre cloths, inside and outside the case!

I've even put one of those 'magic tree' air fresheners inside the case, just to be doubly sure!
