You would think most nice places would already have booked somebody now. But a lot of them wait to see how fall business goes and then decide what to budget for holiday entertainment. With the WTC tragedy and job layoffs, I think they'll be even more careful. I know this Christmas won't be a stone gas like last year.
Once a gig is over, I'm still so amped that I'll definitely be at some
other party afterwards. IME, New Year's Eve gigs are notorious for sloppy drunk chicks who think all musicians are wearing a big sign that says "Available." That was okay for a while, but then I became 30 years old.
