I gotta agree with vagus to some extent. THere are some really good chick bands, but a number of them are gimmicky and the music is crappola. See Kittie for reference.

About half ofwhat I haveheard of Flyleaf disproves his point and the other half proves it. Which were you trying to go for?

well I wont say bad per se, but the point about moderate commercial success based on looks of the singer. Some of their stuff strikes me as pretty plain jane sorta metal. It's not bad if you dig that type of metal, but I prefer metal with unintelligible gargling vocals and excessive blast beats, etc. Just my opinion.

Just so we have some pics for reference, I'll help the OP on this.
This is who he's talking about. And I think he might be right!!!!

They're playing up here in Detroit in Sept.
I might have to go see them!!!
And they're pretty damn good IMO!

That's the Winnipeg metal band "Domenica" and they're just breaking into the US market.

The chick is Bekki Friesen, 24 years old and already married to a producer/music business guy.

Bif Naked (Beth Torbert) is another Winnipeg chick and I've known her since she was 15. She dated the singer in my first band.

Winnipeg has much hotter chicks than these two.

She can be cute but in all the pics I've seen of her, she looks like slob. Big +1 on the image consultant.
