How to deal with band members who don't turn up to practice...

Ok, so I play in a jazz band, we play gigs fairly regularly and practice about once a week. Now we had scheduled a practice for tonight to play through a few new charts and prepare for our next gig next week. So most of the band arrive and set up, however we are without our tenor sax player and drummer (they're brothers), so we phone them up and they're excuse is "oh we forgot". This is not the first time this has happened, and upon hanging up the phone our trombone player comes up with an idea to pay them a little visit.
Soo we all jumped into our cars and headed over to their house, unpacked our instruments and started playing "Hey Jude" in their driveway! Of course, within the first 4 bars they were at the window looking very shocked and more than a little embarrassed! Some of their neighbors also enjoyed the impromptu performance
I don't think they'll be missing practice again! And that my friends is how you deal with band members who don't turn up to practice!

I would've waited till they were sleeping, put my amp outside their window andplay wake up wake up by suicide silence. when they come out all shocked just be like "See what happens when youre late?when youre late,I'm late.really late at night."I am an advocate for heavy metal wakeups.

Too bad you didn't do it with the new tenor sax player and drummer.

Naah, there's no way we're replacing them, they're both great guys and fantastic musicians, just a little forgetful on occasion :P
