I guess everybody around here knows:
"Don't fake the funk or your nose will grow"
I thought about that, and I've been wondering: How exactly does one fake the funk? Is it even possible to fake the funk at all?
I came to the conclusion that it's NOT possible to fake the funk. Because, if you try to pass something off as "funky", that futile endeavor could easily be spotted and thus, it would not be possible to fake the funk because that would imply that the knock-off couldn't be kept apart from the real funk without closer inspection.
Plus, Jazz cats aren't able to be funky at all, because all they do is fake their way through.

Good luck.

It helps that I work with a drummer that has tons of blue-eyed funk, even though he looks like a geek. I'd probably look ridiculous on my own... |

As for me, I'm old, white, proud, and still funky...'cos I get women half my age tellin' me that in between kisses and other things.

Clearly, there are countless funky hombres in Jazz, as the OP no doubt knows.
