Where do you work? Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. In highschool my buddies thought it'd be cool for our band to wear the various uniforms from the fast-food restaurants we currently or previously worked for.

Sure. Whenever I've got a gig right after work and duck out of work early to get there, or play something short during lunch (that happened once), I show up for work in a suit and tie. That makes it look like the gig is Really Important and Classy so nobody at work questions why need to leave.

If I don't need to leave work early, I'll just wear something fairly colorful, and maybe make some simple adjustment like this:

If you take your shirt off, nobody's gonna care that you're wearing nice wool trousers.

Worked a 12 hour shift at Radio Shack then drove straight to a gig an hour away. No time to change and I had just enough time to set up before the gig started. I also started falling asleep on stage.

I'm a copier tech and have done many a gig "right after work" (slipping out of work at 4:30 for a 5pm gig or doing gigs during my lunch. usually only gives me time to change my shirt

I had to do one straight from work once, without changing, I was subbing for another band over the summer. It was funny - a bunch of suited up guys, a pretty a$$ chick singer, and then me - unshaven, torn and dirt-stained jeans and sunbleached, filthy T-shirt, long-ish hair, and having a generally unpleasant demeanor. This makes me wonder who was dressed more appropriately for a country barn dance - the suits, or the guy who just got off of work at a farm! That was silly, no pics unfortunately.
