So i ordered an amp from ebay, turns out the only place where i didnt update my new address was on my ebay account.
I thought the seller would go off my pay pal address. but nope. now my amp was delivered to my old address like 2 weeks ago.
Now i dont know what to do, if i can do anything for that matter. is there anyway i can find my package? any advice?

Unless the person at your old address returned it to UPS (call UPS and ask), you might look for it again on eBay...but this time from a seller living at your old address.
If you can, I'd drive over to your old address and talk to the people living there now. They might be really cool and say something like, "Yeah, we were wondering who this was for. We weren't sure what to do with it. Well, here ya go."
Never know...could happen.
BTW, you're an idiot...not in idiot.

There's hope that the current residents will reject the package. It can take a couple of weeks for the package to return to sender. It's amazing how honest people are. Don't panic! Returns don't get shipping priority, I think.
You can always send a letter. You know the address, after all! |

Last month, I ordered a screwdriver from Amazon. The same day I received delivery of the screwdriver, in the same shipment, different box (same size box, same address label and everything, box must have been mislabeled.), I was accidentally sent a computer hard drive, worth about $140. Being a nice guy I called them up to inform them of their mistake, and was told I could keep it, no charge.
An additional problem for you is that it was your mistake, UPS or ebay hold no legal responsibility. If they don't want to, they might not have to compensate you. I would at least try what totallyfrozen said, speak to the people at your old addy and see what they say. But don't give up on ebay or Paypal, talk to a rep from both and see what they can do. Maybe you'll get lucky. And just to be sure, see what UPS might have to say too. Maybe they can help.

Some had different addresses between eBay and Paypal, some had different names, and some had different names AND addresses. People don't seem to take care when dealing with their money online.
All were very relieved when I contacted them though, so they could amend their details before anything went wrong. Your seller should have done the same. So it's your bad for not updating your details properly, but it's also the seller's bad for not doing a basic check. |

At the very least call UPS and see if they got that sig. At the very least if they have that, and that person denies having it, you know that person is lying. And Im willing to bet that whoever has will cough it up if you show up.
Most people avoid confrontation, and if you arrive at your old residence stating that a large valuable package was delivered there by mistake, and was signed for, I bet they produce an amp. Once you state it was signed for 95% of the pop will feel 'busted' (even tho they did nothing wrong) and will cop a plea.
Best of luck.

oh and is the UPS store the same as regular ups? i tried the 1800 number but they just gave options on buying things pretty much, no claim stuff.

Also, usually E-bay and PayPal sellers are pretty strict with shipping off PayPal confirmed addresses, so that is strange, but not the issue. Get to where your package was delivered as soon as you can. If it was out of your area, then a address search will usually give you a phone number for the resident. Call. Tell them the truth.
