there was a substitute drummer because the normal guy is out of town. we were playing those who trust by waterdeep and i decided to improv a bit. i basically walked my way through the the chord changes and got a little more funky every time the chorus came around
when the set was over i got compliments from the sub drummer and the guitard/lead singer they both said at the same time "that was funky i like it"
the lead singer also said that i had raised the bar for what he expects me to play like.
anyway i have officially achieved one of my goals as a bassist somebody saud "that was funky" when referring to my playing
