Well my band played at a party tonight and as far as I know all went well performance wise. Anyway, after the show and we are all just mingling around and having fun. Little later on some pretty little thing with pretty black hair and a pretty tight black outfit walks up to me and praises my bass playing. She gets real close to me and showing signs of being quite flirty. Anyhow a few minutes after the nice praise she then in the blink of an eye she goes from flirty to serious salesmen mode she tells me she is the manager of some band and starts selling me on the idea of joining their band for yadda yadda reasons with lines like "if you want something more stable". Even having a few members of said band come up and tell me about them.
Now obviously it isn't like I am upset with her about it anything and I don't think it was her intent to come off 'flirty'(at least I would hope not lol), but talk about a buzz kill. I don't know if I should feel flattered do to the praise for my abilities to not sound like a completely useless schmuck on my old stick fiddle or if I should feel like third wing unloved loser when it comes to the ladies. lol

Oh well, excluding the fact that I girls still dont give a damn about me it was a good night.

Actually come to think of it.. funny enough now that I think about it. That was the second chick of the DAY to ask me to join their band.

I'm so going to make a shirt that says something alone the lines of "ATTN ladies: I want to join you, not your band"

edit for legibility: This is what happens when I write posts at 6am in the morning with less then 2 hours of sleep under my belt.

I want one too. I take note and might make a t-shirt. This, and "That's okay, I'm low too."

I'm on the other side of this situation. It sure helps getting the singer you want for your band when she thinks you're cute.
