Came across an advert for a late 90s Warwick Thumb 5-er going for ~£900. "I can just about afford", thought I.

This was on a local Musician Classifieds site, so the site allowed you to leave a message with the seller - but provided no email address or contact information, just allowed you to leave a message and your email address for him to get back to you.

I get a reply back regarding my enquiry for trying it out (shown in it's entirity):

"Please give me a call to arrange a time
Regards
Richard
Sent using BlackBerry® from Orange"

...HOW?!

How what? I don't get it.

Oh and if you mean 'Sent using BlackBerry', all I can say is 'Welcome to 2006'.

Hi.

Musicians aren't necessarily the sharpest knifes in the drawer (I've learned ), so I'd just ask him about the number. Perhaps he forgot to put it in the ad or the message.

Perhaps he was tired, high or drunk.

If You really want this bass, I wouldn't let a mistake like that ruin the deal.

Just my 0.02€

I lost my wallet since so now can't afford the damn thing (replacing driving license, national insurance, various student IDs...) ah well. It struck me as funny at the time (the message. Not that wallet loss.)
