To be honest, I thought i'd like it, since i'd spent quite a bit of time with it in Guitar Center before the gig, since I knew I was being forced to use it (every band had to). I had gotten a good tone at Guitar Center, but the direct out tone was still **** in the monitors (well that, and the soundguy didn't seem to know what he was doing). Nevertheless, still behaved myself this time. I was more nervous for my guitarist though, since he had to use a Line 6 P.O.S., and I was worried he wouldn't be able to get ANY good sounds out of it. We still got complimented though, and the hot singer from the band before us came up to me personally to tell me how much she liked us.
Now, the night before, we got to play with our full rigs, and despite us
nearly overpowering the PA (it was more I was slightly drunk and kept forgetting lyrics), we sounded MUCH better. I sang much better tonight, though.
Oh, and pics of the gig last night (don't have any of tonight); I decided to dress up as a late 1800s/early 1900s irish immigrant:
(anyone wanna do a caption contest for this picture?)
