I had a really vivid dream once where I was playing bass for Jimi Hendrix at a big festival - it was a trio gig and the first half of the dream was like the ultimate trip - but then Jimi wandered off stage and didn't come back - the crowd was getting restless and how long can you play a bass solo and keep the crowd with you...

In the end I was relieved when I woke up !!

I think you may have been duped. Jaco doesn't tour much anymore.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that has odd musical dreams.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt that some Eastern European/Russian guy - whom I think was meant to be a czar - was teaching me new tunes on the mandolin. We had a wee jam, with him calling out chord changes, but I kept being a little sharp or flat each time. After a while we stopped and he was very nice to me, but I felt embarassed.

I think my subconscious is trying to tell me something about my theory knowledge...

Contrary to popular belief, Jaco is not dead. He's chillin on an island in the Carribean, right next to Biggie and Tupac.
