IF OBAMA/McCAIN WERE A BASS....

Sign in to disble this ad
We recently had an election in Canada and a reporter asked the incumbent Prime Minister at a produce stand if he were a fruit what would he be? So totally for fun and too take some of this seriousness off of the upcoming Presidential election - If Obama and McCain were basses what would they be and why?

OMG politciticiticsZ!

McCain would be an old bass that is old... very old, one that will probably be dead in 4 years and have to be replaced by a female bass that is completely incapable of being a bass.

ill bite.
McCain - 18th century carved upright. old as hell, unplayable, only people who like him are rich snobs. he's still worth a fortune.
Obama - Classic jazz bass. smooth, clean, nothing he cant do, accessible to everyone.

McCain: An American P-bass. Dependable, capable of handling nearly everything.

Obama: A squier P-bass (Affinity Series). Seems like a good deal on the surface. However, when you finally get it, you realize it's not the best. Still gets the job done.

Obama: a Chinese spector. Looks really good, has all the right features, but when you pick it up and look at it, there are all kinds of issues they didn't really tell you about. It does things later that weren't advertised.

McCain: used B.C. Rich Warlock. Beat all to hell, not really very desirable, nobody wanted it before but it's a leftover and all there is.

Yep.....an affinity that is built of plywood and has no sense passing itself off as a bass...........

They would both be big name basses with the electronics yanked out .... nice for show, but completely useless .... chuck baldwin would be a no-name bass that sounds like the hammer of thor and plays like butter.

You're right of course I guess I meant that I wasn't trying to offend anyone I just thought that with all the nastiness that has been flung back and forth in the campaigns that this could be amusing... apologies from above the 49th if anyone is upset...

They'd both be different, sound different, play different, and be loved by one group of players and hated by another.

Can we now lock this thread and move along?
