I had a drummer (back in Altus, OK) and he told me to play with better musicians so that you'll grow to their level. Helps you in more ways than none. I'm not saying that if you are the best in the group that the group will hold you down from learning and growing...It's all in your attitude and ability to learn, accept criticism, listen, use your ears, and ask questions.
