Yeah, so a couple weeks ago I was fortunate to see part of the Progressive Nations Tour when it stopped in Albany, NY. I was mainly interested in seeing Dream Theater for the fourth time. Also on the bill I got to see Zappa Plays Zappa and was really blown away by their bass player. I've seen a lot of great bass players (Chris Squire, Tony Levin, Geddy Lee, Victor Wooten, and many more). But Zappa's bass player really had it going on, the sound, the look, the attitude, the feel, the chops...he impressed me more than any other musician I saw that night and there were a lot of good ones.

well, today I was bored and decided to do a search on the guy, and turns out his name is Pete Griffin! Like, as in Family Guy!

I'm sure he is well known around here and Pete, I'm sorry if you ever see my dumb post, but man, that made me laugh. And, I'll be paying attention from now on, for any news on the "other" Peter Griffin.

Saw the tour in Toronto. Absolutely outstanding set by ZPZ. Just, damn eh? I'd pay to see 'em again.
