We've had some P.A. issues so we had to roll this weekend with an assymetric set-up.
On each side of the stage we had two subs (2x18 each sub), and two top cabs with a mid and a horn in each. However, one of the top cabs blew so one side of the stage effectively had only two subs and a top (with the second top being up there only as a dummy for looks).
Meanwhile, one of our power amps was also out so what we had was:
Right side of stage (facing it) = 2 subs and 1 functioning top fed by 3 power amps @ 4,000 w each.
Left side of stage = 2 subs and 2 functioning tops fed by 2 power amps @ 4,000 w each.
As I looked out on the dance floor throughout the night I couldn't help noticing that the RH side of the stage was more populated than the LH side by a ratio of about 3:1. Deduction = the side with more bass (i.e., less mids and highs) and more watts, was more popular. Coincidence?
