I just want you to know that I, too, am going to post a review. However, since you don't know where I live and will have no way of ever finding me, I am not going to put "WARNING: REVIEW" in the header. I'm going to put: "Tom Wictor Please Read. IMPORTANT!"

Oh, wait, you DO know where I live. Plan's off.

Oh, wait again - you have Meniere's and can't travel to find me. Plan back on!

I can't travel. You know who can?

Tim.

Think very carefully about your so-called plan. Ever read Papillon? Remember the "plans" in that book?

Tim'll turn my book into the sort of plan they had in Papillon. And he won't roll it up. He'll, um, apply my plan to you as is.

Just sayin'.

Maybe I'll post my review a few words at a time over the course of a few days, mixing it up between other posts so that it appears I am just posting random things. You would have to go out of your way to actually read the entire review.

I'll just buy software that filters out all adjectives. That'll fix your wagon, pal.

My proofreading software sucks you-know-what. Mac and Microsoft. They're garbage.

The finished book has a couple of typos that initially bothered me, and then I thought, "You know what? They bear witness to this stupid, ridiculous, Monty Python-style disease, so that's fine."

Diseases like cancer and diabetes at least serve a biological function in that they thin the herd. What the hell is the function of a nonfatal, incurable illness that just makes you dizzy and pukey?

You tell me.

The first Talkbasser to get the book is Bill Saltzer. He posted his photo above, but I want to honor him myself.

Bill is a great bassist and songwriter:

Talent runs in Bill's family. Here's his daughter playing bass with Green Day:

THANKS, BILL!

Send a message via MSN to Ayce
Or, as we used to say at the end of a show, "If you didn't like us, tell us. If you did, tell your friends."

I gotta wait until it comes out at B&M's.

Tom,

My very best and sincerest congratulations on what is sure to be the success of this book and its release into the world. WELL DONE.

Now please call off Tim. I can hear him rustling around in the bushes outside my house and his chi is so powerful it's setting off car alarms.

Too late, pal. You brought this on yourself.

You have my sympathies.
