No it wouldn't be photoshopped. The most popular anime in Japan features this stuff. i think that might be a shot from that show.

OP here, this is not photoshoped and itīs not K-ON. It's from the latest episode of Kaichou wa Maid-sama (ep. 21) which is a romantic comedy (no music involved), and this scene here was a really random line said in the beginning of the episode.

Maybe it's just the K-ON influence.

I thought CBS acquired Fender around 1967 or 1968. I was just beginning to play bass at the time. I don't remember seeing jazz basses with the inlaid MOP blocks in the fingerboard before 1968, and I think that feature started with the CBS era.

Besides, K-on isn't about the band and its music than it is girls skipping practice to eat cake and get overly tanned and stuff. They only throw musical terms out there once in a while as attempts at getting certain people interested enough who might be susceptible to the moe moe.

K-on ain't about music, sucka. K-on is Lucky Star with guitars. YEAH, I SAID IT

I stand corrected then.

I cringe a lot too actually.. In a way I wish they would have quit while they were ahead.. Or taken the time to really write 2 and 3 better.

Azunyan is the **** man. And DEM EYEBROWS Mugi has.

Oh yeah, I was kinda disappointed K-On wasn't as much about music as I expected, but I still enjoyed the **** out of it.

Haven't watched the second season yet... but I'm hooked on Mitsudomoe right now lol.

And Fender references in Kaichou wa Maido-sama? ****ing lol.

how about the pivotal scene in FLCL when our young hero whips out a bass and the assembled onlookers gasp, "Gibson EB-zero! 1961 model!"
