I don't know if anyone's ever posted this joke....
A group of explorers are traveling through the thick of the jungle when they begin to hear, in the distance, a group of jungle drummers beating their drums. The drumming is incessant and never stops. It lasts throughout the night and into the day, then the next, then the next....
Five days later and the drumming has never stopped. The explorers have been traveling nearer and nearer to the drumming and it gets louder and never stops.
Finally on the sixth day they reach a village which is the source of the drumming. There is a circle of drummers with maniacal looks in their eyes; many have fallen over from exhaustion. Another one falls and a fresh drummer takes his place.
The master drummer is at the head of the circle, sweat pouring from his brow. The head of the team of explorers walks up to the master drummer.
Head Explorer: "What's going on?"
Master Drummer: "We must keep drumming, we cannot stop, we cannot stop, it will be terrible terrible terrible if we stop...."
Head Explorer: "Why? What'll happen if you stop?"
Master Drummer: "Bass solo!"
