Last Friday Night (Video Content)

Sign in to disble this ad
So we played a pretty good sized room friday night. Pretty tame crowd, 100+ people but scattered and a mostly younger crowd.

I was in charge of sound, and had the guitar a little too hot in the mains. Someone should have came up to me and slapped me!

Recording is rough audio wise...it's a flip remember.

Feedback welcomed.

Mix doesn't come out too good on the video but the playing is tight and good song choice. To my mind there is no purer rock sound than one guitar, bass and drums so this is definitely the sort of band i like to see. Personally though, I've always hated TV screens even in the same room as a band but one either side is taking is taking the p@$%!

Next time aim the lights at the singer and not the bass player.

Yeah I said the same thing.

James_E, thanks for the props, it certainly helps having a guitarist that can hit those Richie Sambora lines. Of course hes from Jersey, so what else would you expect.

Since the two giant TV's were right behind the band, I think it should have been fine to turn them off while your group was playing.

Or a much more ambitious option would be to hook up a laptop to them and run some kind of lights effects off of them.
