Last minute gig offer

I got a call from a buddy the other day asking me if I could fill in for them for a few weeks, I agreed. Even though I'm moving to Japan in about a month. I had my first practice with them last night. These guys have a damn good set up. I felt like I was walking into a studio. They even had a hartke 1/2 stack for me to use. They write all originals and last night, in about 2 hours I had to bass lines written for 2 of the songs they wrote. When I plugged up and got the sound I was looking for, I asked the drummer to kick out a beat. We immediately locked in..it was magic. Our first gig is in 2 weeks, which is soon, but I think I can do it. The first practice was awesome. I wish I could have met these guys when they first got together. I think I saw there add on CL but I ignored it cause I was moving so soon, to bad for me.

You're lucky you got to rehearse, I usually have to hit the gigs cold when I'm subbing. It can stressful but I love the challenge.
