Ok, so LM inspired me to share about last week's gig.

I had a chance to do another project with my 'main' gig with artist Brian Doerksen. It's for a new CD/DVD. We did 3 nights of 7pm-11pm rehearsals, then a 9am-11pm on a Friday, week-end off (so that I could work my day gig from 9-6) then a 9am-6pm on Monday, tore down gear from the rehearsal space and set-up in the evening @ the venue. Then a 9am-7pm @ the venue. Wednesday off (again, worked the day gig) then dress rehearsal and blocking for shooting on Thursday afternoon, filming from 7pm-11pm then the same on the Friday..........

in just over a week, I got to take 13 new-t-me songs and finalize it enough to put to film but was good as usually you get what, oh, 20 min. MAYBE to get a somewhat finalized idea when doing a regular session.

It was a blast to say the least. I was unfortunately tethered somewhat to a few charts but still went well. The signal chain was Bass(es)[Road Worn P, Steinberger Synapse, Engelhardt 3/4] then through my CoreX2 cables to Tech21 VT Bass pre, then to a REDDI. Sounded great and sat very well in the mix.

here's a couple of shots:

Will you post some clips of the VT into the Reddi? I'm thinking about picking up the VT to do the same thing.

I'll try, but the release isn't expected until September....

BUT!!! as soon as it chills out a bit around here in the next week or so, I'll try to do some clips.

and yes, I looooove my VT and could totally hear the difference when it was going through the REDDI, amazing DI.
