My Fender jazz went dead in the 2nd set Saturday night. Loose input jack was turning with the cable and I guess finally broke the wire from the terminal. No solder tools in my kit (where did I leave 'em?). I stripped back some insulation, wrapped the wire around the terminal, and secured it with a piece of chewing gum (unchewed). Closed her up and finished the gig without incident. MacGyver lives!
I had a strap button fall off the upper horn during a gig. I jammed it back in, but that only held up until the screw broke off. I took off the straplock and jammed an allen wrench through the strap into the screwhole. Held out for the gig at least.
