Well, I was playing outside because my grandma was getting mad I was practicing inside, so I hauled my amp and bass outside.

Now, it's not impressive, but I have a 200W WorkingMan SWR 15 Combo, and this sucker can get loud, but anyway.

I was playing at the only plug-in outside of the house, facing the neighbors' house. I didn't have it up loud at all, then suddenly, I hear

"TURN THAT DAMN THING DOWN! IT SOUNDS LIKE #@@$!"

coming from my neighbors' house.

I laughed. They usually have a stereo outside that rattles my house, and it's so annoying. I just turned around, and turned the Gain and Master Volume up to 10 (okay, maybe not), and turned the Bass knob up, too, for added effect.

I then started jamming some random runs. Needless to say, they were pissed. It was funny, though, looking over there and seeing them yelling, not being able to hear them. I stopped shortly afterward, though, because I figured that they'd had enough.

Oh well. They shouldn't play *shudder* rap music on a loud car system.

Any similar stories?

EDIT: They were teenagers, they do it all the time. Please don't flame anymore.

You mean blowing my amp?

Okay, maybe I didn't turn it up that much... I like exaggerating. It has a limiter anyway.

Ha, yeah. I'm sure I didn't offend anyone that bad, though. It was just the 16 year old and one of his "skater" friends.

buy some headphones! I'd have probably called the police for disturbing the peace, or excessive noise pollution if I were your neighbour, Bad form dude.

You guys don't understand, it was nice to get revenge for once. I mean, every damn day the punks are playing on some stereo system that literally shakes my WHOLE HOUSE. My grandma (whom I live with), doesn't want to call the police, though, because our shaky past with the neighbors. It was nice for once.

how come any time anyone ever tries to tell a story on this forum, a flood of people chime in with the "grow up" remarks? Its a funny story, nothing serious happened, people are allowed to have fun.

Let's not start this into some forum where we bash a dude for taking out some aggression on a couple of little punk kids who do the same thing.

As for the grandma thing, might wanna think about a practice amp with a headphone jack or something to be nice (peavey maxbass combos are good actually) but I wouldn't make any apologies over the punks next door
