I had to stop watching it, due to was getting a bit of vertigo from too-fast pans and quick-edit cuts. But... for a FIRST attempt.... you guys did great. Thanks for sharing your creation.

The cuts are very quick i agree, i think that was to do with a lack of footage and shots so it was lots of small bits. We already have plans for another shoot in about 6 weeks for my fave of our songs: 'Dont listen to the band' (have a wee listen, its on the myspace, i LOVE it)
and hopefully we'll have more than one day to shoot this time! Its quite the bug this doing videos malarky!!

hope this is the right forum section! |
I did a band video a couple of years ago with Sony Vegas software, however we taped with digital video, with Sony handicams and found the video to be a bit grainy.
What software did you use, and what cameras took the footage?
The video editing was really very artsy...and very good!
Bass rocked too

Or if you really wanted to make his day ask in a comment on youtube so he waffle about tech stuff like i did on there lol!

But, IMHO
I found it too hard to watch. I was getting dizzy or something.
Slow down, let us see what you've all got.........

As good as most stuff you see in the charts and on these millions of music channels on Sky and Cable. Great meaty bass playing too... and your singer is a babe

If any of you could find your way to sharing the video or myspazz with friends by any means id be so greatful, this is my last shot at an originals band and were doing the whole shebang ourselves, so if anyone knows any ways to point people at us then Please please go ahead!, the more hits we get and views we get, the more people will take us seriously and the greater the chances of me A) getting paid to play bass :-) and B) getting that dream bass!! (Sei flamboyant 4!) ;-)

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: cheltenham uk | | | cheers, i did just that bass.....hartke....cs3....ns2....amp di'd to the desk, no speakers, thats on all the songs on the myspace, the distorted ones like this track i just hit the drive channel on the hartke, other than that its the preshape on all the time at about 1 o clock and a passive fender jazz bass, oh and wizard pickups. I just used the P bass for the video. In the studio its a 2008 mij fender jazz 75ri with a wizard pickup in the neck.
oh LM2 is pretty much flat just a touch of boost on low mids and hig, and the VPF at 9 o clockish, no higher, VLE off.

| | | | Very, very very good! Kinda old school, without alot of silly frills and stupid dance moves. Reminds me of "Jump" by Van Halen. A performance video. With all the c**p out there, it's comforting to know that good ol' rock & roll still lives. Also, loved the kiss on the screen at the very beginning! Good effect! |

The failed attempts at the lipstick and the writing on screen were pretty funny the glass was gaffa taped into the rack from a yamaha electronic drumkit. But it broke so suze only had a very small bit left to kiss VERY gently lol. The lipstick snapped when she was writing too it was quite a fun day tbh. In the middle eight bit in the red dress she's standing on my markbass 102p cause she was too short and ended up doing a teeter-topple off the back in her heels :-D She balanced on the edge for a good few seconds!
